[ • NORTH v. SOUTH TARANAKI. The match between North and South Taranaki, to be ployed at Hawera on New Year's Day and Saturday, should be interesting. Bain, Clegg, Clarke, Heskett, Robertson, and others not being available, the team chosen is not representative. It is, however, a fairly strong all-round eleven, and should give a good account of itself. South Taranaki has also chosen a strong eleven, and it will be greatly strengthened by the inclusion of the redoubtable Blamircs, rnd also of McCarthy, the latter of whom was unable to meet Wanganui. As the New Year, 1915, will have commenced before any further notes appear we would thank elub secretaries and other enthusiasts for < many courtesies received during the past '. year. May all ambitious batsmen : achieve the desired century, the bowlers j the hat trick, and mav the fieldsmen never rriuff a catch, w the News' New Year wish to devotees of the grand old ' game, which, if the enthusiasm imparted 1 this season, is not allowed to wane must occupy its propel- .place in Taranaki summer sports. k ======— < m *
