ENTERTAINMENTS.

. EMPIRE PICTURES. "The Adopted Son" is the star drama on to-night's new programme at the Empire. The photo-drama is founded on the life of a leading Italian citizen, who began his career as an image seller, and rose from the direst poverty to the highest rank of affluence in his own country. There are no extravagant situations, no attempt made to cater to the melodramatic. It presents certain salient aspects of Italian life with fidelity, and the love story is delightful and convincing. This programme includes a Keystone comedy. "Her Last Chance," also a picture of "Lord Roberts' Last Review." Seats may be reserved.
