A CHAPTER OP ACCIDENTS. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Nelson, Last Night. Erie Byrne, 14 years of ago, was found dead in two feet of water in East Takaka river yesterday. The hoy was riding, when his horse bolted, and he was thrown into the river. A child named lan McLeod, four years of age, was choked through swallowing a paper cigarette-holder. Death .occurred in a few minutes. 1 Douglas Bromwell, 10 years of age, met with a serious shooting accident at Baton on Christmas Day. While mustering sheep, he prodded one with the butt of a repeater rifle, which went off, the bullet lodging in Bromwell's griin. The injured lad was removed to the Nelson Hospital. (The extent of his injuries lias not yet been ascertained.
