THE WIAXGAXUI TOURXAMEXT. J The following teams will represent the Plymouth elubs at the Wanganui Bowling Tournament, to start 011 Box- 1 ing Day. New Plymouth ancl West End > are sending one rink each, and Fitzroy ; two rinks:— New Plymouth: Luseombe, Marriott, H. Smart, A. Smart (s.). West End: Hill, Woods, J. Role Beal« (g.). Fitzroy: McNeil], Coxhead, Hartnoll, B. Smith (s.); Rennell, Plumtree, Oxenham, J .Abbott (».). Patea defeated Taihape at Wanganui on Saturday by A'i points to 27. The little rink tournament held on the local greens last New Year was so successful that the Taranaki Centre executive is arranging a similar tournament to be played on the town, Fitzroy, and West. End greens on Xew Year's Day and the following day. It will be open to all clubs in the Centre. The nomination fee will bo 10s per rink, to cover cost of refreshments and trophies for the winners. Entries will close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday next, 29th inst.. and the draws will Ijc published tlu; following day. Last year Jnglewood and Waitara sent rinks, and it is hoped that this year other elubs will come in. 'The second rounds of the Xew Plymouth Club competitions have to be com. pleted by the 31st inst. The secretary of the Dominion Bowling Association has notified the local Centre secretary that the Railway Department has consented to grant concessions to bowlers attending the Xew Zealand tournament at Auckland next month. First-class tickets will be issued at holiday rates to bowlers and their wives (if accompanying them) from •Tanviary fl to 11, available to •lamiarv 28, on presentation of the usual form of certificate
