TROUBLE WITH A SHOT-GUN. By. Telegraph.—Per Press Association, Ashburton, Last Nig Hit. . At the Police Court; to-day William James Chambers, a labourer, of Hamstead, appeared on remand on a charge of having discharged a shot-gun at on Peter Stewart, so as to cause him actual bodily harnv. The Bench finally came to the conclusion that the evidence in support of the chargo was insufficient, and dismissed the case without prejudice and with a warning to defendant.
