CHEAT BATTLE PENDING. STRONG RUSSIAN ARMY IN GALICIA. Received 21, 10.20 p.m. Vienna, December 21. Official.—We were successful on the Krosho-Zackliezyra front at Latorcza. A great battle' hi developing in the Laupkow pass. A strong Russian force has appeared in Galicia. FIUIITING ON THE VISTULA. AUSTRIAN SOXVriK FAILS. Received 21, i). 40 p.m. Petrograd, December 20. Official.—Serious engagements occurred at certain points on the left bank of the Vistula, between li/.ura and Rawka. We attacked two companies of the enemy, who crossed to Bzura, near Dakhovo. Many of the enemy were taken prisoners, and quickflrers captured. The Austrian sortie at Przemsyl failed. The force was caught on the flank and routed, and a number taken prisoners. A FORCE ANNIHILATED. GERMANB CAUGHT ON THE VISTULA. Received 22, 12.55 a.m. Petrograd, December 21. Official.-—The remainder of two companies attempting to cross at Bzura lias been annihilated. 1 BOMBS DROPPED IN WARSAW. NINETY CIVILIANS KILLED. Received 22, 12.55 a.m. Rome, December 21. Warsaw papers state that a Zeppelin 'dropped eighteen bombs in Warsaw in 'December. Two bouses were demol- 1 isiied, ninety civilians killed, and fifty 'wounded. ' ;
