Wellington, Last Night. \ The following is Sir Bates' weather forecast: 'Present indications are for a further increase in the baromc'.er pressure, and moderate to strong southwesterly winds; weather fair to cloudy, and improving generally, but scattered Bhowers arc still likely to fall in the West Coast and sou; hern moat districts of the South Island.
