Due London January 28 . (Money Orders close 11 a.m.) SATURDAY, DECEMBER 19. For Australian States, South Africa, China, Japan, and Straits Settlements, via Auckland, at fi.ls a.m. The times for closing mails for places beyond the Dominion arc liable to alteration (earlier or later). CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR GREETINGS. SPECIAL FORM OF TELEGRAPH MESSAGE. In order to afford facilities for the transmission by telegraph of Christmas and New Year greetings, special printed l'ovm,), containing the message, "Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year," may be obtained at the local telegraph office for use, on the followingdates: 10th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 20th, 2Sth. 29th, 30th, and 31st Decemebr. A uniform charge of SIXPENCE for each such telegram will be made, provided the address and signature do not contain more than eleven words. If, however, the text as printed is varied in any way, the telegram will l)e treated as an ordinary one, and charged for accord. The public are. advised to lodge their Christmas greetings telegrams not later than Wednesday, 23rd December, to ensure delivery by Chirstmas Eve. C. H. BURTON, Chief Postmaster.
