ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
<m PRIEST IN MOTOR ACCIDENT. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Rotorua, December 16. • Dean Lightheart, a Roman Catholic priest, met with a serious accident yesterday on the Waiotapu road, six miles from Rotorua. He was driving in a ■motor, alone, when the car ran over a lank, rolling over him and crushing him badly. He was found unconscious soon afterwards. A SCHOOLBOY KILLED. Woodville, Last Nighty' A fatal accident happened to a schoolboy this afternoon. For a long time past school children on the Masterton roajl have been brought to the Woodville school and taken home in Mr Somervillo'a brake. For a change Mr Somerville took the children home this afternoon in a motor-lorry that he had just imported. When slowing up at the end of the journey, a seven-year-old boy named Noel Smith, a stepson of Mr Roberts, a fanner, fell off. The wheel' of the lorry went over his head, smashing the skull. Death was instantaneous..
