• I A SHOOTING CASE. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Aflliburtoiv December 14. i William Q. Chambers was charged at the Police Court this morning with firing a shot-gun at Peter Stewart with intent to do him bodily harm. He was remanded for a week, bail not being allowed. Stetfart was a lodger in Chambers' house. BIBLE IN SCHOOLS. Wellington, December 14. AN APPEAL CASE. Wellington, December 14. The Appeal Court delivered judgment to-day in the case Onehunga Sawmilling Co., Ltd., t. tha Official Assignee, in the, bankruptcy ofl Michael Kersey King. The majority of the court held that the agreement on the sale of timber was not part of the mortgage transaction, but was s sollateral agreement and no clog upon the equity of redemption, and that it was not affected by the release of the securities.
