Frank Mace acted as best man, and Mr. Bert 'White groomsman. Aftur the ceremony the bridal party drove to the bride's parents' residence in Young street, where the reception was held. Mrs. White, mother of the bride, wore n handsome robe of black figured crepe de chine, the bodice being trimmed with floral insertion and cream lace vest, with a black tagel hat trimmed with lancer plumes and violet flowers. She carried a bouquet of blue Canterbury bells and asparagus fern. Mrs. Penwardcn, mother of the bridegroom, wore a black satin robe, with a handsome black lace coat and overdress, and a black lace hat trimmed with silk and violet flowers, and carried a bouquet of violet and white flowers and ferns. During the afternoon the happy couple left by motor for their future home at Oakura. The bride's travelling costume was tailor-built, with a pretty white silk hat, trimmed with cornflowers and wheat-cars. The presents were numerous and costly, including several substantial cheques,
