POST AND TELEGRAPH COMPETITION. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Wellington, December S. The annual competition for the Western Electric Rifle Shooting Shield was fired on Saturday by teams of five men, representing companies and detachments of the Post and Telegraph Corps. The results were. Auckland A-446, Wanganui 290, Auckland C 384, Wellington A 370, Auckland B 33!), Blenheim 319 ,Invercargill 301, Wellington B 282, Wellington C 252, Christchurch 268, Palmerston North 243, Dunedin A 223, Dunedin B 218, Christchurch Senior Cadets 195.
NEW PLYMOUTH DEFENCE CLUB. The New Plymouth Defence Rifle Club will occupy the Rewa Rewa range to-mor-row afternoon, when the shooting at the (100 yards range will count for the first competition for the Champion and Thursday Cup. All members who were unabla to complete their shooting on the 26th ult. owing to the rain should endeavor to be present.
