EMPIRE PICTURES. ■■ j At the Empire Picture Palace last night a fairly large audience was present to witness YitagrapJi's screamingly funny star comedy, entitled "Goodness Gracious." Gwendoline, the heroine, hag big eyes. She also has a drunken Dad, but Father finally gets drowned became he cannot drink enough and leaves Gwendoline an orphan minus assets save and except the aforesaid large eyes and a sentimental nature. She weds the hero, of course, and the hero's millionaire father hands his son the key of the street door. The villain enters. He says ha!" ha! and sets about his villainous schemes. He plots the downfall of Gwendoline, and from there one is taken through many funiiy passages unto the end, where Gwendoline and her husband are seen surrounded by their large and happy family.
