The Rarawa arrived from Onehunga yesterday morning with 90 tons of cargo, including 10 tons flour, 12 tons sugar, 0 tons manure, 7 tons cement and 17 tons soltar. THE INGA. The Inga is due about Sunday from Sydney direct with a cargo of timber, ipoles, sleepers, etc.

■ P. AND O. COMPANY. London, December 7. The Peninsula and Oriental Company have made a profit of £359,703, and carry forward £68,703. The directors' report states that immediately the war was declared the Admiralty commandeered nearly half the company's fleet, upwards of 200,000 tons. Recently thr-re lias been a certain revival of exports to India and Australia, but not to China and Japan. A formidable obstacle to trade is tho war insurance, for which the company paid £31,000 in eight weeks. Tho cost of running ships has increased in every direction, except the canal dues, but, considering the company's contingent fund of £450;000 and the ordinary reserve of £1,374,000, the directors feel j.istifkd in recommending a dividend and tonus.
