MAGNIFICENT PATRIOTISM OF PRINCES. Received 6, 5.5 p.m. Delhi, December 5. All the great native states hato now expressed regret to the Viceroy that Turkey joined Germany in fighting England, under whose benign rule- the Moslem enjoyed perfect religious freedom. All the ruling princes continue to takcthe keenest interest in the war. They have now subscribed about £190,000 to the Prince of Wales fund, and approximately £8,00,000 to the' expenses of the war, including £400.000 from Nizam of Hyderabad, £333,00 ft from the Maharajah of Mysore. A further sum of nearly £300,000 Ims been given by chiefs to provide motor cycles, binoculars, and telescopes, and £245,000 of this lias been given by the Maharajah Scindia Gwalior, who also presented motor ambulances, consisting of forty-one cars, for the use of the troops in Europe, and arranging for the establishment of a convalescent home in East Africa. Besides these gifts many chiefs presented a large number of liorses, mules, and camels, and even their private motor-cars. The hospital ship Loyalty, which left Bombay recently, splendidly equipped, was another of their donations.
