TOADIES and GENTLEMEN,—As I have completed a tour of the Electorate, and placed my views before you from the public platform, I now submit the following points for your consideration before you go to the Ballot on THURS- < DAY, December 10: — 1. That I had spadework to do in connection with the settlement of the King Country, which included the hinterlands of Taranaki, Auckland, and Wellington, fronT-1902 to 1911 and practically all the hard work in assisting settlers and residents to get roads, bridges, schools, and post and telephonic conveniences was done during the nine years of your confidence in liic by electing me as M.l\ for Egmont and Taumarunui for three successive Parliaments. 2. That my principles on political questions are known to you, and have been found sound. 3. Personally, after mv nine years' experience of Land Settlement, I would not-open another jere of bush and swamp land until the roads are formed and metalled; if these lands .are opened without this being done, I will favor the settlers having it rent free for three years,, as formerly the case ■under the Bush and Swamp Act. 4. I am, and was in IUO3 as your representative, in favor of the construction of light lines of railways and the maintenance of arterial roads by the General Government. 5. I am in favor of flte workers of both sexes being ' given the fullest : » honorable consideration so far as hours, wages, and conveniences are concerned. 6. I will support proposals for a uniform school book for the ehildrer of New Zealand, to be supplied free to scholars, so that the sonor daughters, the brainy chililrei of struggling parents, get released from the charges now im posed in various ways when the) get to primary and high schools: that a Dominion rate of paymenl to teachers be brought into operation; and that back-block selioo teachers have an extension of the privilege to attend approve/ classes-in towns, by widening th< limit, now of GO mile?. 7. A public man is judgpd by his act and intentions, and a* a Hippovti" - - of LIBERAL PROGRESSIVE r,i_e:i surcs, I am in favor of cducatin; public opinion in a further way The Reform party showed thei intentions by opposing every pro gressive measure, such as advance to settlers, old-age pensionworkers' compensation, etc., etc. I, therefore, confidently leave my«e! in your hands on the Polling Day, feel jng assured that the pioneers and new e residents of this gno.t Electorate, biim ful of notentialities. will cgr.;n retur me as their representative. Yours faithfully, W. T. JENNINGS. Te Kuiti, December 2, 1914. - rpUß* JJEGIBTII r " SEASON IW4-IS. - ~r FUTURE EVENTS. . TABLES OF WINNERS BLOOD STOCK SALES. • ''" ' BULBS -OF RACING.
