CORRESPONDENCE.
To the Editor, Si>V—Controversy ia now happily ended. You have been Indulgent over it. With personalities out, let patriotism in. Mr Hides' five guinea stake, proposal I shall duly take up, meanwhile, since my two-guinea inquiry proposal was not accepted. I guarantee that sum to the Mayor's fund. But don't let us rush matters; rather wait and see if other residents will join in sale contributions, and so get some good out of the affairs. —I am, etc., BENONI WHITE, December 3, 1014.
