FEiLDINO NOTES. (By '"Moturoa.") Almost wintry conditions prevailed on t.ie occasion of the Feilding Racing dub s spring meeting, and the weather on Monday was particularly disagreeTJl ° attendance was excellent, iind uite returns ditto, but the gatherlnl' flight have been improved in' many respects. The Feilding Racing Club winch has hoisted a flash stand' for its members, still neglects the publie as retfards totahsator facilities, and the entrance to the lawn and grandstand might be improved very easily. The club wants si "thirty horse" tote badly * the system ol' :eting horses ruii-' iiv.g in different : .icrship (as in the Maiden Hack Scurry on the second day) being quite unfair, though, under ex-' is,ting conditions, it was impossible to lecord the wagers oil the twenty-seven starters on a twenty-four horse machine. .More "pay out" windows are urgently required. In fact, a new totalisator house j s a thing which our Feilding friends should consider straight away. , 'ile on the job it would be advisable to give more than a mere cattle-race ortrance to the lawn.
