TEN DAYS' ASSAULT. STIFF CARPATHIAN FIGHTING. ' AUSTRIANS LOSE THOUSANDS. , ' I'ctrograd, December 1. Official.—Obstinate fighting continues m the direction of Lowicz. German efforts to force a way in the region of Szercow, between Wcilun and Petrokow were repulsed with heavy losses. Lifter ten days' assault, we captured the Austrian position on the crest of die Carpathians, from Konocza to Ozozuko. Since November 14, we have taken prisoners fifty thousand Austrian troops and six hundred officers.
