FORECAST. Wellington, Last Niglit. Following is Mr. Bates' weather forecast:— Present indications are for decreasing southerly winds, changing to westerly increasing in and southward of Cook Strait; fair to cloudy weather probable in the northern and east, coasts, but changeable and showery conditions on tho west coast, and in the southernmost districts of the South Island. The barometer lias a -rising tendency at .present, but is duo to fall in the south shortly.
