The salo of Mr. Donald Eraser's yearling and tv.'o-yenv thoroughbreds by Advance and Mai'tcllo drew a large attendance of buyers from all parts of the Dominion. There was good competition and the highest prices were: Yeairing coll. by Advance—Seagull, 2-ti guineas; yearling colt, Advance—Endeavor. 200 guineas; black colt, Advance —Jiallarat, SO guineas; Waielc col.t, Advance—Sou'wester mare, 152 guineas, Othoi' yearlings were 2'fl to 51 guineas' and two-year-olds 28 to 51 guineas EORBURY PARK MEETING. TROTTING. ■ m . Dunedin, Last Night, i liie Forbury Park Trotting Club's spring meeting opened to-day. The weather was fine until after the first race, but a very heavy shower fell a little later, and the remainder of tho afternoon was unpleasant. The attendance was fairly good, and £12,054 went through the machine, as compared ivitli £11,093 10s 011 the corresponding day last year. Owing to the bad state or the track, the match between Win Soon and Country Belle did not take place. Results:
