BELGIAN CHILDREN'S FUND.
"BUTTON-HOLE SATURDAY." An enthusiastic meeting of ladies, preBided over by Mrs. 'E. M. Smith, was held in the Town Hall on Tuesday afternoon, to arrange for a "Button-hole Saturday," the proceeds to be donated as Christmas gifts to the Belgian children. It was decided to appoint ladies to sell button-holes in the different blocks in the town, assisted by a staff of helpers. The band will be playing all day, and in the evening it is proposed to ask the East End Merry-makers to help them. A further meeting will be held on Thursday afternoon, in the Town Hall, at 3 o'clock, to make final arrangements, and the committee will be pleased to see anyone who wishes to help at that meeting. The blocks are set off as follows: Xorth feide. Queen street to Egmont street: Mrs. H. Baily. Egmont street to Brougham street: Mrs. Smith. Brougham street to Currie street: Mrs. Wilson. Currie street to Liardet street: Mrs. Moverley. Liardet street to Cover street: Mrs. Austin. Cover street to Eliot street: Mrs. Boulton. South Side. Post Office to Brougham street: Mrs. Pellew. Brougham street to Currie street: Mrs. C. Bullot. Currie street to Liardet street: Mrs. Milne. Liardet street to Gover Etreet: Mrs. V. Coleman. Gover street to Elliot street: Mrs. Boulton.
