C-PENS TO-DAY. ■ .Stratford's great annual fixture—the Agricultural and Pastoral Association's show, will open to-day and stock fr&n far afield have for days been steadily arriving by road and rail Though the Stratford A. and P. Association i 3 one of the youngest of the sister Societies in the Dominion, it is also one of the most important and most flourishing, and the growth it has made and the fine work done under its Auspices go to prove t!hat there was plenty of room for the institution. While it continues to bo run on right lines, in the trua interests of education, and with the fullest consideration from the farmer exhibitors, there will always be a place in the front rank of such societies for the Stratford Association. It remains with the setilerg themselves to do their share by attending t/hc function to make this year's gathering the biggest brightest, and best yet held. The activity of the officials has brought record entries, and most of the aristocratic animals of the North Island will meet in competition. There are heaps of attractions for town and country folk alike.
