HORTICULTURAL SHOW.
The weather was not too favorable yesterday, but still a fair number of 1-eople attended the Good Templar Hall and Whitelcy Mall to view the exhibits. One which attracted a, great deal of attention was, the extremely pretty exhibit toy residents of Barrett street. A glorious array of rhododendrons, azaleas, pinks, carnations, antirrhinums, giUardiasi, cajlcoolqirlas, .swtect. tfeasi niimulus, chrysar.theim.nt, daisies, sohizanthus, peonies, Spanish iris, linarjas, ■pelargoniums, and sweet Williams evoked unqualified admiration from all who saw it. The idea, of Mr. Beale, who handled the exhibit, in arranging the flowers on tiers was very effective, and might bo applied with advantage by the committee to some other exhibits. Mrs. C. H. Burgess arranged for the 'exhibit, and with one basket from each garden created quite a gorgeousi display. This system of putting in ah exhiuft from a number of gardens 1? very good, and the exhibit certainly did credit to everyone connected with it
