MANGOREI COW-TESTING IASSOCTION. Following are the figures of the Mangorei Cow-testing Association for the period ending, 2-1 til November:— Best herd, lOOllbs milk; 3.0 test, 39.20 Hi. ' Worst herd, 6301bs milk, 3.7 test, 23.77 fftt. Best cow, 7351bs milk, 9.5 test, O'U.S-2 fat. Worst cow, 4201bs milk, 3.4 test, 14.28 fat. Average Association cow, SOOlbs milk, 3.0 test, 31.88 fat.

The shipment from the factory was 112 boxes. The North Taranaki Dairy Company is turning out 58 boxes of butter per day. The output is slightly below last year's at this time, but this is accounted for by the exceptionally dry season. With occasional showers of rain there would soon be a considerable jump upwards. I Notwithstanding the serious drought which prevails, the New Zealand Dairy Association, Ltd., distributed amongst its suppliers the sum of £68,703 10s fid on the 21st inst. This covered 1,400,809 J lbs. of butter-fat supplied during the ! month of October. The amount distribInted for the corresponding month last year wag 7s fid. Thus the in-
crease for the month was l f-1243 !W. Messrs Sorrenson Bros., late of Onaei'o, but now of Pukearulie, are about the largest milk suppliers in North Taranaki.
