Against the Turks.
PLOT AGAINST THE SULTAN. ATTEMPTED ASSASSINATION. TURKS MURDERING CHRISTIANS. Bucharest, November 23. Arrests occur daily in Constantinople in consequence of the attempted assassination of the. Sultan. It is suspected that the Sultan's heir participated in the plot. Athens, November 23. Advices from Constantinople state that a large force of Turkish troops from Adrianoplc sacked the Christians' shops in Trebizorid, and murdered some Christians. Paris, November 23. The Turks pillaged the French bank at Jerusalem and arrested the French Consul-general at Aivaili (Asia Minor) as a hostage and sent him into the interior.
