NEW ZEALAND TRADE.
COMMISSIONER'S ~ REPORT. By Cable—l'ross Association—Copyright Received 22, 10.20 a.m. London, November 21. ill- Wickham, in his report on New Zealand Trade in 1913, states that imports showed a distinct improvement, although there was an unsatisfactory loss of trade in certain lines; noticeably in British hardware and hollowarc, whereby America was the chief gainer. There was a marked growth in the importation of boots and shoes, and iron and steel. Mr Wickham condemns the practice of manufacturers employing a single agent in Australasia, resulting in the inefficient covering of a large area.
