ADDRESSES BY MISSIONARIES. jßy Telegraph.— Per Press Association. At + i *> ~ Dlin(lin > Last Night. At the Presbyterian General Assembly to-night, addresses were given by Dr Rowid, hero of the Ambrin disaster, in the .New Hebrides, who spoke eloquently of the heroic acts of the natives during the trying time experienced. He also mentioned the natives are subscribing towards the cost of the new hospital, in place of that destroyed by the eruption. Mr George Moeur, a pioneer Canton missionary, also spoke, and expressed the opinion that the future evangelisation of the Chinese would have to be done by the Chinese, and to this end missionary* were working.
