Subject to necessary alterations, mails will close at the Chief Post Office as under:— For Auckland and North, ,per steamer, Tuesday and Friday, at 7 p.m., and daily, per train, at 6-15 a.m. For Wellington and South, daily at 6.15 a.m. and 12.20 p.m. For Wanganul and intermediate offices daily at 8.15 a.m., 12.20 and 3.55 piQi THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19. For Australian States, South Africa, Ceylon, India, China, Japan, Straits Settlements, 'East Indies, United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, Eastern ' and Mediterranean ports, at 12.20 p.m. Due London January 2nd. (Money orIders close at 11 a.m.) ' For Tasmania, via Wellington, at 02.20 p.m. Correspondence for United Kingdom and Continent of Europe, must be specially addressed, "via Suez." SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21. For Australian States, South Africa, China, Japan, and Straits Settlements, at 6.15 a.m. Parcels for United Kingdom should be posted as usual,. They will be sent forward as opportunity offers. Correspondence for Uni'ied Kingdom ; to be sent by the long direct route . should be posted as usual, and specially I marked "via Monte Video."
