RELIEVING SYDNEY TRAFFIC. -Sydney, November 17. The Government is considering a scheme to relieve the traffic problem by the creation of two avenues, one between George and 'Pitt streets, and the other between 'Pitt and Castlereagh streets. | seats to be contested. NEW SOUTH WALES LOAN. Sydney, November 17. Mr Holnian states that lie is placing treasury bills for £1,750,000 in London at 4% per cent.
BROKEN HILL MINE. London, November 17. The British Broken Hill Company shows a profit balance at £47,494, but under existing conditions tho directors do not recommend distributing further dividends, as the mine must remain closed till arrangements for disposal of concentrates can be obtained.
