INGLEWOOD NEWS.
(From Our Own. Correspondent.) There was a Rood crowd in the Town Hall to liear Mr. 11. Okey on .Monday night. The Mayor (Mr. G. Young) presided, and briefly introduced tl\c speaker, and asked for a fair hearing. Mr. Okcy, at the outset, referred to the present Government's policy in regard to naval defence, and the detrimental effect of short-dated loans. They supported freehold tenure, and were not in favor of bolstering' up the big landholder and capitalist. They were at present guarding the interests of the people re the price of foodstuffs, and had ordered •wheat from Canada to supplement the local supply. He referred at length to I the West Coast leases, and considered a scheme ol revaluation to be in the best
