MORE MEN PIiQUAHLY REQUIIRJiD. By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Wellington, November 12. Mr. lusher, Minister of .Murine, when interviewed re men for the front, said to a Post reporter:—"lt is inevitable that tlie oversea dominions will have very largely to increase their quota. I have no doubt the time is not far distant when the Imperial Government will ask !New Zealand to make up :ts quota to at least 20,000 men. Australia and Canada will, no doubt, consent in a like proportion.
POOR IX BRITAIN AND BELGIUM FUND. IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT'S A PPRECI AT I OX. Wellington, Last Night. The Governor to-day received the following telegram from the Secretary of State for the Colonies, in response to a message last week, forwarding the first instalment of the New Zealand contribution to the Poor of Britain and Belgium Fund: "With reference to your telegram of the otli November, His Majesty's Government is most grateful for the contributions to the Reli-if Fund."
