Sir,—Ls it not the duty of the Government to remove to (Somes: island all Germans in the police and Government positions in New Zealand, seeing th-> proved treachery of those wiio were even naturalised Look at their compatriots' brutal, inhuman treatment of poor little children, whose ears and hands were cut off, and who arrived in England' in that state, vide paper reports. Jt all makes one shudder to think what we may expect il such monsters were to gain the victory in the awful war tliat luw been 'forced on us. Why ltave not the Commissioner of Police'and Minister of 'Jus'tic© done their duty? I Would an Englishnlan he retained in the Government ser-v-iee of Germany?—! am, etc.,
