PATKA DEFEATS NEW PLYMOUTH. .!> A team from New Plymouth .journeyed to I'm tea in order to try and wrest the Shield from the men from the river port anil failed in their quest by the narrow margin ot .live points. 'Conditions were not altogether favourable to high scoring, there being a rather tricky breeze blowing. The visitors were most hospitably treated i>y the local men, being entertained at dinner and ten. The conditions were seven shots at each of tile three ranges mentioned. Detailed scores: —
