Official. —'A commando of rebels, which was at Zoutpandsdrift, has been driven north into Waterberg and is bein? pursued. They wire seen yesterday atVarmbates, and were evidently movin» to get into the wooded north-west-ern parts of that district. Yesterday a rebel commando crossed the railway Had ait Bloemsoff, Western Transvaal. Commandant Delarey came into contact. with them and captured five. Last night they crossed the Vaal into the Orange ■Free State. Colonel Lemmer is following them. It i 3 rumored that a larger tody, badly mounted, said to he led by Kemp, is moving dawn the Great Hart's River valley towards Vryberg;. their objective is said to be ■jerman !-\mUl-W€3t Africa. Colonel Alberts is moving in the same direction. It is reported that a body of rebels, under Conroy, blew up the bridge, over the , t: axnd river near Virginia-. De 'Wet, with a large force, is in the neighborhood of Linhrr. He destroyed the railway. Several parts of lla.rrism.ith were entered and looted by the rebels. In the southern portion of Grange l-'rc.c Stat:; 'Province and in other parts everything is quiet. Yesterday Merita successfully engaged a rebel commando under Chris Mailer north of Bronlchorstepl/ruit. Fortv-four wounded were taken prisoners. The total number captured from Midler's commando was seventy, There were few casualties.
