SPECIAL MEETING AT T.AU- . MARUKUI. A special meeting of tiio Board was held at Taumarunu'i on November 7, there baling present: Messrs G. H. Billiard (Commissioner), Coxhead and Ryan. CONCESSIONS. A. Hagcnson, tenant in common with Miss A. I* 1 . Hagenson, of l.i.p. section 5, block 6. Waro, was granted twelve, months' leave of absence. John Pratt, licensee of o.r.p. section C, block 1 Tangitu (131 acres) was granted twelve months extension of time on which to build and reside. Exemption from, personal residence was granted in the following cases:— Robt. F. Peterson, licensee of o.r.p. .section 1, Mock 1, Ma-para, for three months. E. H. Phillips", Jr., licensee *i section 4, block 15, Upper Waitara, until February, 1915. A. E. Sexton, lessee of r.l. section 0, block 7, until October, 1915.
After rending the ranger's reports re non-residence on- the part of the liecwsees of o.r.p. section 7, block I,'i, Upper Wuitara S.D., A. G. Fischer and Jno.. YVilldon, it was resolved to grant Six months' extension of time m which to comply. LEASES FORFEITED.
After reading Ranger Tolmee report on r.l. section 9, block 7, Mapara S.D., held by Thos. H. P. Davey, it wafes resolved to forfeit the h-nse and re-open the section for application.
Simson Brothers, lessees of section 11, block 4, Clandon Settlement. (110 acres) applied to sublease to Bertha Prycc; term not stated; no purchasing clause but right of renewal for further term with Board's consent. Resolved to forfeit for non-residence. h LEASES AND TRANSFERS. J. C. Mackay, of Waimiha, .applied for a temporary lease of about 2 acres of Mapiu township for grading purposo-i in connection with his coaching plant. It was resolved to grant a year to year lease.
The application of Messrs Roberts and James, licensees of o.r.p. section 10, block 13, Waro (1013 acres) for a homestead site of about 20 acres, portion of section 2. block 14. Waro S.D. (Adjoining)'. Vational Endowment land was complied Willi on certain conclitonns.
Messrs. Gee, and Burch, licensees of n.r.p. section 1. block 7. Pouatu Ml). (510 acres), applied to acquire .about 3 acres on their northern boundary in order to bring {helm lip to 'tire, road: also for a temporary lease o!f other portions of the railway reserve for grazing purposes. It was resolved to recommend the sale of the three acres on the northern boinuinrv at tffls ner acre, and to decline the application for the temporary lr-a=c of other portions of the reserve until the ranger had reported further and the Land Board has dealt with the question of oft'erinir section 4 (OR acres) proposed township site for annlication.
