On Tuesday, October '27, we held our weekly springing heifer sale in our Stratford yards, when wo had a fair yarding and most of the heifers were sold. The following prices were ed:—

Three-year-old heifers, close up, £6 10s to £7 10s; 3yr. old heifel'a, ilot so cliWo to profit, £a 7b Gd to £5 15s, heifers, calved, £G; old dairy cows, from £5 2s Gd.

On Monday, 2nd inst., we held oui supplementary bull fair in our Stratford yards, when there was a good attendance of buyers from all parts of tiie district. There was a good yarding, and a fair number of bulls were ecJd. Pedigree Jersey bull, 2 years old 25gns; purebred Jersey bull, 10% gns; 3yr. grade bulls £9 10s to £11; 2yr. grade bulls, £G to £l7 Gs Gd; aged bulls £6 17s 6d.

On Tuesday, November 3rd, we held our usual fortnightly sale in our Stnt- ' ford dairy yards, when a fair number try of 700 head of cattle, of which a fair number were disposed of.' (Prices obtained were as follows: Fair store cows, £4 10s to £5 19a;-poorer sorts, £ 3 10s to £4 9s; forward cows, up to £8 3s; fat cows, £8 2s to £S lis; yearling heifers, fair, 43s to 50s; yearling heifers, medium, 3Gs Gd to 40s; yearling steers £2 las to £2 19s; 20-mos. steers £3 17s Gd to £4 17s fid; 2yr. steers £5-2s; 2yr. empty heifers £3 8s to £4; 18-mos. empty heifers, £2 19s; 20_mos. bulls, £3 2s 6d, On Tuesday, 3rd isst., we also held our springing heifer sale in our Stratford dairy yards, when a fair number of heifers came forward, a good number being disposed of. The following prices were secured: 2yr.-old-heifers, 90s to 100s; 3yr.-old heifers, 110s to 1355; heifers, calved, from £3 17s Gd to £5.
