A SATURDAY COMPETITION, A Saturday competition is to lie held between the three New Plymouth club?, for a challenge cup presented by Mr E. Gilmour. Teams will consist of three rinks each, and the New Plymouth club will enter two teams; Fitzror a:m! West End one each. The competition will not be confined to Saturday plavers. there being nothing to prevent Thursday competition bowlers from talcing part'.
FITZROY v. NEW PLYMOUTH. Three rinks from the Saturday players of the New Plymouth and Fitzroy Bowlinb Clubs met on the Fitzroy green on Saturday afternoon, and a very enjoyable match resulted in favor of the town team by a margin of eight points. The Fitzroy' Club entertained the visitors at j afternoon tea, dispensed by Mrs. S. ■>.! Smith and Miss Kohn.
