The New Zeaand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received rTie following cablegram from their Loudon house under date 3rd instant: There is an active Home demand for .scoured combing merino at par. Greasy shafty -is 5 per cent, higher, and crossbred on average 10 per cent, higher. Scoured short and faulty merino aw neglected, being 10 per cent, lower. WEBSTER BROS. REPORT. Poultry.-JAt the ma*rt on Saturday, our pens weer filled with birds of all classes. Prices were well maintained and we still have an unsatisfied demand for table poultry. Good forward ducklings are also realising good prices. Hens, young, 2s to 2s Cd; fat, 2s 8d to 3s; ducks, 2s 3d to '2s 6d; drakes, 2s fid to 3s; ducklings, young, Od to lid; forward Is 2d to Is 6d; cockerels, young, 2s to 2s 4d; fat, 2s ud to 3s 2d; hen and chickens, os 8d to 7s 9d; turkeys, 9s. Fruit.—During the week very little has been offering and prices are on a par with the 'previous week. Prices 11s under: Panama, green, 12s; ripe, 2 : vl per lb.; lemons, Is Id to Is 2d per do'z.: apples, American King David and .Jonathan, lCs per case; green peas, Is :!d to Is4'/ S d peck; tomatoes, Is to Is 3'/,d per lb.; cucumbers, fis Od to 7s 3d doz."
