NEW PLYMOUTH SWIMMING CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. -Thi; annual meeting of the above club was Ji.eld at the Town Hall last night, -Mr. A. li. Standish presiding oirer a • omewhiit small attendance. The chairman's annual report referred to the chief events of last, aeason, regret being expressed at the unfaTorable Weather prejudicially affecting the success of the club. The junior championship was won by M. Yates, and the. senior by 0. Brown, the girls' championship r being annexed by Miss Ivy Hawke. The balance-sheet showed the income as £l<» 2s, exclusive of the balance brought forward f(i 7s 7d, the expendi lure amounting to £2l. In moving the adoption of the report ] ami balance-sheet the chairman referred with regret to the loss t!he club had suffered .by Mr. W. J. Williams, (ll'ie president) having left the district, a;i-o to. the loss of the services of the handicapper, Mr. Lints, while several members had gone with the expeditionary force.
