Fat sheep—l77B were penned. The sale opened with prices about Is to Is 3d in advance of last week's rates, but as it progressed values receded somewhat, and at the close they were about on a par -with last week's values. Best wethers 27s fid to 30s Od, extra to '.4 os, medium to good 24s !)d to 20s (Id, best ewes 20s to 31s, others 21to 255, best shorn wethers to 24s Od, best ewes (extra) to 20s.
I at lambs—Only OS were penned, as compared with S3 last week. The prices showed an advance of about Is 0d per head.
I'i;:s—Ninety stores and sixty fats Wi'-.-e penned, and the yarding of both was m excess of requirements, and prices showed a drop of from 3s, to 7s Od, and 3s to 4s respectively.
WERSTER BROS.' REPORT. ' Poultry,—At the mart on Saturday our pens were fdlcd with birds of all classes. Prices were, well maintained, and we still have an unsatisfied demand for tabic poultry. Good forward ducklings are also realising good prices. Hens, young, 2s to 2s (id, fat 2s 8d to 3s, ducks "2s 3d to 2s Gd, drakes 2s (id to 3s, ducklings, young, (id to lid, forward Is 2d to Is (id, cockerels, young, 2s to 2s 4d, tat 2s (id to 3s "2d, hen and chickens 0s fid to 7s Od.
Fruit.—During the week very little lias been offering, and prices are on a par with the previous week. The lirst line of tomatoes and cucumbers arrived on Tuesday last and realised good prices. Prices as under:—Bananas, green, 12s, ripe 2%d per lb. lemons Is Id to Is 2d dozen; apples, American King David, 10s per ease; green peas, Is 7'/»cl per peck; tomatoes, 11 '/ 2 d to Is Id per lb; cucumbers, 0s Od per dozen.
