Only five foreign pilots beside* Mr Watt we're accepted for service, Before taking up aviation, Mr' Watt was a, keen motorist, with a good knowledge of motor engines, and held the R.A.C. owners' ine«n»nical certificate. In 1911 he entered the Bristol flying school at Salisbury Plain, where his insiructorg were M. Jullcro't and M. Tetard. He graduated in the school in a shorter time than anr of hi* fellow pupils, completing his coarse in just three weeks.
