' There was a full attendance of /'buyers, and we have to advise particularly keen competition for all lines. Hides ddvanced sharply from %d to Id per lb, sheepskins jumped quite 2d per lb, most ] lines of butchers' dry skins selling sis ( high as S'/A per lb, one particularly •( good line medium crossbred making B ; >4<l. i Wool showed a similar advance, prices ] oll'ercd being quite on a par with thoso 3 obtained at the corresponding sale last j year. We sold only a few bags, alli'j dumps and bales being held over for next I ] sale, when we expect prices to he better j again. Calfskins maintained their high j level.
