Replying to an urgent appeal for increased railway facilities for removing starving stock from drought areas, in the course of which it is pointed out that it is practi'/ally certain that sheepmen are faced with enormous losses, the Oovernmrnt authorities state that it is absolutely impossible to do more than U being done, both tiic engine power and the lines being taxed to their fullest capacity in order to relieve the pressure. The demand for vehicles for the export cf fat stock from Victoria, where the drought 'has been severely felt, is adding to the difficulties;.
