AXGLO-A MICHIGAN SHIPPING COMBINE. NOME POLITICAL SIGNIFICANCE. Kenr York, October 20. The alliance of New York and Liverpool shipowners has subscribed the capital for a fleet of at least twenty big cargo steamers, filing the American flag, in order to capture Germany's carrying trade. The alliance is the outcome of Herv von Dcrnburg's criticism that Britain intended to seize .South American trade, without giving America a chance of participating.
