Wiliarn Teviotdale (40) for atempting to rescue Frederick A. Morgan (20) from drowning at Foxton on May Ist, 1914, a memoriam certificate. Cyril A. Hughes (20), for rescuing Horace Palmer (14) from drowning nt Auckland, on January 18, 1914, a certificate. Stephen Iluglies (Of), for assisting to rescue Horace Palmer (14) from drowning at Auckland on January 18, 1914, a letter of commendation.

Baden 'Powell Bellringer (13), for reacuing Evelyn Death (10) from drowning at New Plymouth on February 23, 1914, a certificate..

Edward Plats Mills (21), and Joseph Baldwin (12) for rescuing: Hector A. Donaldson (12) from drowning at Wai-Mii-o-Miita on April 10, IUI4, certificates. Charlie C F.. Abderion (■l2), reselling Donald Foster from drowning at Woolston on Ju'.y 5, 11)11, a letter of commendation. Pauline Collier (33), for rescuing Edward T. Bairo (1) from drowning at Reefton on August 1, 1814, a letter of commendation. J. \V. B. Atkinson (28), for rescuing an unknown man from drowning at Lyttelton on February 11, 1914, a letter'of commendation. J. W. B. Atkinson (28), for rescuing Albert Frandsen (40), from drowning at Timaru on July 23, 1914, a bronze medal. Harold Bailey (18), for rescuing Frederick \V. Kirk (17) from drowning at New Brighton on October 14, 1914, a bronze medal. In relation to the application on behalf of Dr. Bowie for what he had done in saving life at the time of the eruption at Ambrim last year, it was decided to communicate with the Home authorities as the island was outside the jurisdiction of Xew Zealand.
