By Telegraph.—Per Press Association. Christc&ureh, Last Night. The Timaru to Uhmtehuxch road race, the great event of the year in cycling circles, was held today in line weather. The roads were in splendid order, but 'the strong nor'easter which was encountered for the greater part of the way seriously affected the time recorded 1 . The contest wa,j won by F. A. Sutherland, of Timaru, fro™ the 25 miuufe mark, whilst the fastest time was again established by P. O'Shea, of Uhristclmreh, though, principally because of 'the head wind, he was unable to equal his record performance of last October. Result: Ist F. A. Sutherland, Timaru (25min) .
