CANTERBURY CONCERN STAIRTS BORING AT CHBRTSET.

The Canterbury Petroleum Proswet ing Company officially opened its ©i)-bor-in'g works at Ohcrtaoy (l!2 miles from Ashburton) this afternoon, in the presence of about TOO people. Boring was commenced last week. The speakers included the company's chairman of directors (Mr. C. J. Harper). Mr. A. Jovee (manager), Messrs G. T. Booth and W. Keeco (Christchurdh), and C. J. Williams (engineer and secretary of Lytteltoa Harbor Board). At the present tinv the company baa 497 shareholders, holding a iota! of BiSM fl shares;
