London, October 18. The cargo of tho German steamer Snedmark, captured in tho Red Bett, valued at £200,000, was burned in a warehouse fire at Alexandra. Tho steamer Noordam, from New York for Rotterdam, struck a mint in the Korth Sea, but continued her toj« age. Seven on board were wounded. . DUTCH STEAMER CAPTURED. l'aria, October 18. EQUIPPED WITH WIRELESS. Received 19, 10 p.m. Melbourne, October 19. Senator Pearco has received a wireless message giving details of the capture •f the German gunboat Komet (cabled )«b ICtli inat.). It states that the gunlloat had a complete wireless plant and ( 8 (|uickfirers aboard. The captain, four German officers, and 52 natives were taken prisoners. There were no casualties.
[ The Komet is proceeding to Sydney, having the late Governor of New Guinea 'and other prisoners aboard.
