The official opening of tihe new Presbyterian church takes place on Wednesday afternoon next, On 'Wednesday tfej ? r ic:4> w Misa Jenkins and Mr Leslie Birdling met at the Clifton Ilail to wish them ii'he r oest of good luck in tihe future. Mr Buchanan, on behalf of their friends, presented the 'bride and bridegroom elect with an oak trap and afternoon e.p. tea set, and conveyed "to tihem the good wishes of their many friends. Mr Birdling, responding, ua;id that he and Hi is fitiure wife would always treasure the gift presented to them that eviening.

Mr E. Beckbersinger, who has been on a visit to tlie Oid Country, returned home on Tuesday evening, and received a hieaTty welcome by his many friends. The annual meeting of the Bowling Club it'ook place on Wednesday evening. The statement of accounts showed a debit balance of £lB 18s lid.
